Lovely sky. I can't wait to see the movie too ...
Lovely illo, i relly like the clouds!
Timely and well-done. Very nice. Yes, the whole family wants to see the movie
Calming, tranquil colors.Just discovered this blog of yours... SocMo is fun!
Just HOW are you rigging this so that major cultural happenings coincide with SocMo's adventures each week?!? Another delightful entry, and the thought of a SockKong or a KingMo is just too wonderful.
Ha ha! This is excellent. Can't wait to see the movie either!
nice illustration. i like the colors you used and how you've drawn the sky.
STEPHEN, QWEYSPIRAL, CONSTANTHING, QUEEN TUT, TWISSELMAN, JOSH, STEVE, and SAM... thanks for the nice words! Seems like the colors I smeared on the sky are a hit.MEGAN... I have this strange feeling you are stalking SocMo...
You mean Socmo isn't playing the lead role? Oh well... He sure looks perfect for the part:>
CARLA... they didn't offer him enough bananas... he's a high priced, highly trained professional actor you know...
Cool cityscape! Neato bandito.
StalkMo? (or StalkLess?)
Socmo looks sad and lonely ... and it looks like he's beefed up for his role as King Kong ... great illo - lots of emotion.
Love the sentiment; and the colors. nicely done.
hey there!yes your right, i understand it fully, and King Kong, what a movie, i dont think there was a dry eye by the end of the movie...such emotion and beauty. and your illo is wonderful for acknowledging it ;)M
SocMo is looking a little thicker--auditioning for the squeal maybe?.
What a great super sized Socmo. Well done Jonesy! Cheers!
Ahhh! a Jones brother! Great work Doug. Love your style and taste....yes, you taste great....your drawings, that is.
excellent. concept and style are awesome
Hey Jonesy, great work! Hopefully I'll be seeing King Kong this week. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be thinking of Socmo!
i haven't got a chance or time to watch it, it's hard to go see movie when you have a 3-year-old.. anyway, great work as always :)
Aw man, that is GREAT! We have a sock monkey named Rufus. He'd totally relate. (if he had gone to see King Kong with us) Nice!
SocMo Rules! This is excellent as usual. LOVED the movie. I was completely entranced the whole time. SocMo shows as much emotion and personality as the big Kong did. :)
this is so great! love the buildings, the clouds, colours and your socmo is perfect as King Kong!
Very coool illo!
WOW! so many comments! Thanks for all the kind words! Have a great holiday season! Well... I gotta get back to SocMo... I think I hear some planes coming...

lovely and great mood.Great socmowork.
Heya Jonesy, I was just getting caught up on blog reading/looking, and found the Socmo work I missed while I was moving/offline. Wow, I missed a lot of really inspiring work you've done. The wistful Socmo dreaming atop the building is priceless, tuna flavored ice cream (how do you dream this stuff up?) and the Spongebob wannabe...all just wonderful!! Thanks for a few minutes of uninterrupted smiling :o)
