MONSTER

SocMo was overwhelmed as blast after blast of forms spewed out of the unrelenting tax MONSTER that has been chasing him since the first of the year.

You will never guess what I have been doing this weekend.

BONUS MONSTERS!
I illustrated a book for Scholastic not long ago that was full of monsters... suitable for first graders... here are some samples.

Oh, just wonderful! I love the tax monster! YES, always SO MUCH paper! And your Scholastic monsters are adorable!!! Was the sad blue monster lonely until he made friends--is that the plot? Love their spots and the trees and rocks in the background, colorful & fun!

The blue monster (Ugg) was sad because he had ZERO spots! All the other monsters had lots and lots of spots. They all convinced Ugg that being BLUE was special too... and they all lived happily ever after. Just like reall life, eh?

This was for a series of books called Number Tales. I did numbers 0,2 and 3. One of my first times to use Photoshop for color.

Bonus Monsters are the best kind! I know what you're saying about the tax monster, too... I fudged mine up this year, so I'll become more & more familiar with more & more forms, I'm sure.

Tax monster is great! Hope he's getting published in a newspaper or mag.

The other monsters are really adorable. I could see this becoming a kids' TV show.

Excellent stuff, Jonesy. I haven't done my taxes yet, but I guess I can't put it off forever. Your monster here put a bit of fear into me.

I love your other monsters too. Great stuff. Since I have kids in that age group, I'll keep a look out for your book in the take-home catalog! (if that's where it is)

All these monsters are great.... Much character in the illustrations. I just fended off the tax monster... but doing it all online, he's a buncha digital '0's and '1's I guess.

Glad SocMo got some feet to crash around in. Haven't checked in for awhile.
