RAIN

SocMo loves to pretend he is Gene Kelly, and reinact the famous "Singing in the RAIN" scene.

***************************
I am bummed! After having done a great job coloring this in Photoshop, I was messing with filters to get a cool rain effect... and Photoshop crashed! A VERY rare occurance for me. Lost everything. I decided to rescan the line art and post that anyway. If I come up with some time I may try to add color again... who knows. Alas... these are the perils of working digitally. (sigh) Gotta remember to save early and save often. :o)

Singing in the Rain is one of our most favorite movies of all time. If you have never seen it... or it has been a while since you have seen it... go get it and watch it. The best musical ever! Really! Donald O'Connor doing the "Make 'em Laugh" number is a great bit of fun cinema. He looks a lot like SocMo!

Great job. I'd like to see it colored.
I feel like I've seen this before ;-)
I use Paint Shop Pro and my illos lately have been so complex that I've locked up my PC numerous times. I guess that's my punishment for not using a Mac.
Anyway, SocMo rules!

It's always great to see Socmo, even in black and white. He could've made a big name doing sock hop movies.

Oh, bummer for you. I hate when I lose work like that. Painter's got what's been called the "Painter poof". I'll be working along and then suddenly--POOF! The program just...well...DISAPPEARS! Any artwork not saved is gone, gone, gone. So, yes, saving often is the key when working digitally...which I get lazy about.

Oh! And I love SocMo doin' Gene Kelly! He's really quite a talented sock monkey!

Bummer! I get that every now and then. Nowadays, I keep saving! Sometimes I get so many files on one job. Anyway, cool illo. Looking forward to the colour or grayscale version.

Ugh, I know how that goes...I'm sure it was beautiful colored. However, the line art is fantastic! Great concept, too. Very nice work.

Singing in the Rain is a good musical overall...but the "dream-like" sequences they had back then, like in Singing in the Rain, Oklahoma, etc...leave one wishing they would have gone to sleep and dreamed about something else. However,SocMo rocks...I think monkeys make everything better!!! Do you have T-shirts?
