SPROUT

You know it is time to wash your hat when you find a SPROUT growing in it!

Hey, I have made a 5 part tutorial using this image, showing how I use Photoshop for coloring. If anyone is interested in seeing how to add color with Photoshop, please take a look. You can find the tutorial here.

TUTORIAL

I hope this will be helpful to anyone curious about how to color digitally.

Wonderful character. i also really love your line.

your tutorial is very strong...quite close to Dave Cooper's, with some interesting differences.

Wonderful tutorial-- there were lots of things in there that I didn't know about, so: thank you! Fun finished image, too!
And can I say: Dude, why aren't you teaching (in addition to illustrating)? You totally should. You have a lot to share, you're good at it (break it down in easily-managed chunks), and I'll just bet you're good with kids & they'd dig you.

I always love your SocMo pictures, but I am especially grateful for the tutorial. I have put together a step by step screenshot tutorial of how to use Blogger (for my 89 year old grandma!)so I can relate to the time and detail involved in creating and precisely explaining each part of the process. I will be saving this for future reference. (..so glad I can hide those ants now!!)

Never had a sprout in my hat, but, my mom did have a tree growing in her car once. Gotta love SockMo.
Nice tutorial. Can you do one for Paint Shop Pro? (just kidding - I suppose you could modify your tutorial to make the first step "Purchase and install a copy of PhotoShop")

Another Socmo winner. What a cool book all the Socmos would make. It would be so easy for you to do a Lulu book with all your Socmos.
