doodle 9

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the Bush"

I had to illustrate a few proverbs and wise sayings recently. While I was sketching on this one, I thought of this twist on the saying. It has probably been done before... by someone else... but I thought of it all by myself. So there. The sketch was such a mess that I decided to clean it up a bit and add some color. This could be our whole problem... too many birds in the Bush.

Very funny! Those two birds are probably his only supporters these days.

So is this a sample of your inking on vallum (sp?)? Is it colorize on it as well or scanned and prettyfied in PS?

It's because of the new software I installed that will pump up the number of comments I get. :0)

and... this is an example of slapping up something really fast, unencumbered by the thought process. But I did use some vellum and an old PITT pen and my old Wacom tablet and some oxygen...

no chickens were harmed in the process...
