PRETEND

When I was a wee lad, I had a stick horse that I rode all the time. I probably put thousands of miles on it. He was a broomstick with a head made out of a sock. This stick horse is well known among my family members because I named it after my most favorite thing in the world... Gravy. Yes, my stick horse was named Gravy. Gravy and I covered a lot of ground in the backyard. He was reliable transportation, and a good companion. I wonder if any one rides stick horses anymore. My guess is that kids today are all plugged into computers or playing electronic games. Too bad.

Wow, you're gettin' a little too fancy with the Photoshop stuff! Nice composition and nice sentiment. I still ride a stick horse when I run, but I get lots of stares and it makes me feel uncomfortable. My stick horse is named Holden.

I'd love to see a photo of you and "Gravy"! Fun memory to share with us, Doug! So do you still love gravy?

Here's one kid who's not plugged in. Intersting that we both did a similar theme. Good job.

What a lovely image! Both what you created, plus the mental picture of a boy and stick horse named gravy! Awesome indeed.

Just thought I'd come back to tell you that I saw some stick ponies on display at a store yesterday. So SOME kids must be playing with them then, I'd say. Even at my age, I find the idea of riding a stick pony appealing. Hmmm...
