Lately I have had an obsession with giving my website a makeover. A few times in the middle of the night I have had a really great or funny idea. The best idea ever! Then in the morning, I realize it was actually a really lame idea. Same thing happens here. I have what I think is a funny idea, then after working on it for days I start second guessing myself and wonder if it is a dumb idea. I guess that's the way it goes. Hahaha I sooo understand you!! Happens a lot to me, mostly with editorial illustration. Great idea (or should I say non-idea) hehehe
I think your site is great! Very easy to navigate and use. The focus is on your work, not your site design.
One problem I'm having though is a technical one. The portfolio image viewer is giving me a little bit of trouble. Sometimes when I click on a thumbnail the image won't load (I have to click on it a few times).
As far as design goes, I know exactly what you mean when it comes to personal work. You really realize that client deadlines are a luxury.

I love it Doug! Wish I’d have thought of it :o) I hate when morning slaps me with a dose of reality :o) It’s nice falling asleep (if I can) thinking I have the “next great idea”.
